A native Houstonian, Karl Drews brings over three decades of legal experience and courtroom expertise to the firm. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 1991.

Karl first joined the firm in 1990 as a law clerk. After becoming licensed in 1991, he remained with the firm until 1992, then expanded his legal experience by practicing in Massachusetts for three years. He returned to the firm in 1995 and has been a vital member ever since. Throughout his career, Karl has tried over 400 cases across 21 counties in Texas and throughout Massachusetts.

He is a proud member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has earned the distinguished rank of Advocate for his exceptional trial work.

Outside the office, Karl enjoys time with his wife, Dr. Ashley Drews, and their two daughters—one of whom is also an attorney practicing in Houston. He’s an enthusiastic supporter of the Texas Longhorns and the Houston Astros.
